The thing i like most about Man Rays work is, its bold and clear to the eye and its rather eye-catching!
|
Man RayMan Ray was born in 1890 on August 27.
He was mostly known for painting, photography, assemblage, collage and film. He died on November 18, 1976 aged 86 in Paris. I can see that Man Ray likes to work with black and white themes. From what i can see he also likes to work with human features.
|
For example, this is a piece of his bold and eye-catching work. Its simple but effective!

Steve McCurry was born in Febuary on the 24th and he's 65 years old.
Steve McCurry attended Penn State University. He originally planned to study cinematography and filmmaking, but ended up getting a degree in theater arts and graduating in 1974. He became interested in photography when he started taking pictures for the Penn State newspaper The Daily Collegian. |
I like Steve McCurry's work because he's always focused on people's faces. He's always incooporated bright colours which makes the images stand out.
|
Steve McCurryHe is the recipient of numerous awards, including Magazine Photographer of the Year, awarded by the National Press Photographers Association. This was the same year in which he won an unprecedented four first prizes in the World Press Photo contest. He has won the Olivier Rebbot Award twice

John Baldessari |
John Baldessari was born on the 17th of June in 1931.
His nationality is American. And he's known for paintings and conceptual art. I like John's work because he's used no more that 5 colours on one image. He has also made his work inteersting by using shapes and body features.
|
In my opinion, i think that John likes to work with bold images and shapes. I think this because all of his images are black and white and have some sort of shape covering something like some body's face!

Barbara Kruger
Barbara Kruger was born January 26, 1945 and she is an American conceptual artist. Much of her work consists of black-and-white photographs overlaid with declarative captions—in white-on-red Futura Bold Oblique or Helvetica Ultra Condense. The phrases in her works often include pronouns such as "you", "your", "I", "we", and "they", addressing cultural constructions of power, identity, and sexuality. Kruger lives and works in New York and Los Angeles
I like Barbara's work because she works with objects and words and combines them into one whole image. She also uses black and whitw which gives a better effect and stands out more. For example (barbie picture) the words add a whole new meaning to it!
Henri Cartie Bresson
Henri was born during the month of August 22, 1908 in France.
His job involved him in being a painted and photographer, He had one daughter called Melanie.
Also, he had an award at Grand Prix National de la Photographie in 1981 and another at Hasselblad award in 1982. He died August the 3rd, 2004 aged 95!
I like Henri's work due to it being different. He takes photographs of street art and street art only. And he captures movement in every image!
I can see that he likes to work with street art as most of his images have a bold background scene which suggest to me that he's a street photographer more or less.

David LaChapelle
David LaChapelle was born on 11 March, 1963. He's originally from America. And he's a fine-art photographer. He's worked with famous people and photographed them! He's worked with Katy Perry and Madonna! The reason why i like his work is because it's unusual, and it has a streak of strange in it which is why i like it! Diane ArbusDiane Arbus was born on March 14, 1923.
She was American and she was known for her photography. And throughout her art work, she captures peoples emotions! |
I like her art work as her images zoom into the people feelings which i would say, adds emotion to us as a person as it gives us an impression that each image has a story to tell.
